Sandford Tuey
Throughout his 25-plus year career, Sandford Tuey has distinguished himself in a myriad of positions across the entertainment and licensing industries. He entered the entertainment industry in 1984 by creating, designing, raising funds to license and manufacture a host of toy products starting with The Original BRUCE LEE Martial Arts Game; NIGHT OF THE NINJA a Reality Role Playing System; ROBERT LUDLUM’S Game of Counter-Espionage; THE FRIENDLY FREEWAY; GALACTIC GLADIATORS comic series and others.
He was the President of a publicly traded company and the lead negotiator for financing, creating contracts for licensing deals, product design, supervised publishing and production, research & development, exhibiting at international trade shows, overseeing advertising and marketing campaigns for comics, games and merchandising.
He sits on the Board of Directors of several corporations and advises many individual clients. He is a licensing specialist who is a keynote speaker and panelist at conferences, associations and conventions.
Once a facilitator for four years to the Searchgrad program at the Alliance for Arts and Culture in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he helped artists make money from their art. He still consults on topics ranging from intellectual property protection, diversifying writing, financing, licensing and branding.
He hopes this blog will assist others in weaving their way through the entrepreneurial and entertainment industries and accomplish their dreams.
